Chromalloy is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure aerospace products, processes, and suppliers meet customer and regulatory requirements. You will drive continuous improvement, investigate quality issues, and support safe, reliable components.

Located in Phoenix, AZ, the role involves working with quality, engineering, operations, and supply chain to uphold AS9100 standards and improve process capability across the value stream.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, aviation, or highly regulated environments.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and quality tools.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with AS9100, customer requirements, regulatory requirements, and internal quality procedures.
• Lead investigations of nonconforming material, customer escapes, and quality system issues using structured problem-solving methods (8D, RCCA, Five Why).
• Develop, maintain, and improve inspection plans, control plans, quality procedures, and work instructions.
• Perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) per AS9102 requirements.
• Analyze quality performance data and implement corrective and preventive actions.
