Job summary

Crafted Staff is seeking an FAA Quality Inspector II to support manufacturing through incoming and final inspections of components and assemblies. The role emphasizes visual, mechanical, and dimensional inspections to ensure compliance with engineering specs and applicable aerospace standards.

The candidate will prepare inspection documentation and participate in regulatory and customer requirements. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of quality inspection experience in aerospace or electronics,

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 2 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing, aerospace, electronics, or related environment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and parts lists.
Working knowledge of GD&T and use of precision measuring instruments.
Experience with FIRST ARTICLE INSPECTION REPORTS (FAIRs) and AS9102 standards preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform incoming inspections of purchased components and final inspections of finished assemblies and products.
Inspect materials and assemblies at various production stages to verify compliance with standards.
Conduct visual inspections of soldered connections, electronic assemblies, and electromechanical components.
Create, review, and maintain FAIRs in accordance with AS9102.
Document inspection results and prepare acceptance or rejection reports.
