Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a QA/Inspection support role to manage FAI submissions, perform mechanical inspections, and maintain accurate documentation. You will work with QE to process non-conformances, support audits, and ensure timely delivery of test results.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED with hands-on inspection experience, GD&T knowledge, and proficiency with MS Office. Travel to remote flight test sites is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1-2 years related work experience.
• Strong able to read drawings and apply GD&T per ANSI Y14.5.
• Basic knowledge of FAI validation and verification processes.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Able to fill flight test documentation accurately.
• Experience documenting non-conformances and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Process FAI and deliverable submissions with accurate records and logs.
• Perform selective inspections under QE guidance and communicate results.
• Handle internal non-conforming material including NC processes and documentation.
• Support QE activities: Corrective Action Requests, product evaluations, sorting.
• Coordinate with Shipping and Contracts to ensure timely delivery when needed.
• Create and maintain Final Inspection documentation packages (COC, TDRs).
• Represent QE during internal and 3rd party audits and support measurement systems.
