Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Holt, MI is seeking a quality inspector to join our onsite team. You will visually and dimensionally inspect aerospace components, interpret blueprints and specs, and document findings. Proficiency with calipers and micrometers is required, with the ability to work multiple shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Production manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with machine metal and hand tools preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical data preferred.
• Experience as aerospace mechanic or A&P mechanic preferred.
• FAA data interpretation knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visually and dimensionally inspecting aerospace components.
• Communicating inspection findings to management or designated quality engineering personnel.
• Determining the scope of work and inspecting Aftermarket and OEM parts.
• Interpreting blueprints, visual specifications, coating specifications, and other inspection documents.
• Using calipers and micrometers and other testing equipment.
• Relating inspection findings on actual components to blueprint requirements and specification requirements.
• Be a self-starter and possess integrity and professionalism at all times.
• Demonstrate excellence working in a team environment and have proven ability and willingness to learn new tasks as required.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Have basic computer skills.
• Be able to work any shift, including first, second, third, and/or weekends, as required by business need.
• 2nd Shift Hours are 2pm-10pm.
