Job summary

Blue Origin in Titusville, FL is seeking an experienced manufacturing engineer to lead hands-on machining and hardware development. You will collaborate with design engineers, optimize prototyping and manufacturing plans, and sustain rapid iteration across multiple iterations with machinists.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 8+ years in CNC environments for aerospace or related fields, and strong CAD/engineering fundamentals including GD&T.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• 8+ years in CNC machining manufacturing environment for complex products (aerostructure, space systems).
• Demonstrated success in Product Development and evolving environments.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanical design and manufacturing, including GD&T.
• Proficient in CAD and cross-functional collaboration with teams across geographies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering teams during design and development of hardware.
• Champion prototyping with internal customers and manage manufacturing plans for development hardware.
• Manufacture and evaluate hardware prototypes across iterations with design teams and machinists.
• Provide hands-on manufacturing support and guidance on tooling, fixtures, and processes.
• Define and support repairs and rework activities.
