Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to develop and test cutting-edge propulsion electronics, including flight controllers, power electronics, motor controllers, and electromagnetic actuators.

You will own electrical design from concept to production, manage vendor relationships, ensure performance and thermal reliability, and collaborate with mechanical, software, test, and manufacturing teams in a fast-paced defense tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or Robotics and 0–7+ years of board design experience.
• Strong fundamentals in Analog, Digital, and Power Electronics.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer and LTSpice for schematic/layout and circuit simulation.
• Experience with CAN, I2C, SPI, Ethernet and MCU/CPU architectures.
• Eligible to obtain/maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead full cycle PCB design from concept to production, including schematic capture and high-density layouts.
• Design and optimize propulsion system electronics: flight controllers, power distribution, motor controllers, actuators.
• Perform circuit simulations, thermal analysis, DFMEA, and derating for reliability.
• Direct board bring-up, DVT, qualification and functional testing.
• Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, software, test, and manufacturing teams; conduct peer reviews.
• Perform root cause analysis for engine test and field operations.
