Job summary

Anduril Industries, Inc. is seeking a Staff Propulsion Engineer for Air Vehicles to lead integration of turbine engines for Group 5 UAVs and missile platforms. You will design, test, and optimize propulsion components, and coordinate with engine vendors.

The role requires 12+ years of propulsion experience, a relevant engineering degree, and the ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Secret clearance. You will travel to test sites and contribute to CAD work and subsystem demonstrations.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of propulsion engineering experience on air vehicles (manned or unmanned).
• Experience with jet engines in the 250-20,000 lbf thrust class.
• Experience leading propulsion integration into air vehicles; technical authority for major subsystems.
• Experience tailoring engine cycle decks for installed engine performance predictions.
• Experience defining propulsion test programs and troubleshooting anomalies.
• Experience CAD design and detail feedback during design reviews.
• Understanding of manufacturing methods (machining, sheet metal, composites, etc.).
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to selection, architecture, and integration of aircraft engines and propulsion components on UAVs.
• Design, fabricate, and test prototype propulsion components and control systems.
• Plan, instrument, and execute tests of propulsion systems.
• Coordinate with engine vendors and manage development projects.
• Lead hardware demonstrations with customers as needed.
• Support CAD design for inlet/exhaust shaping and structural surfaces.
