Job summary

Space Kinetic is seeking a ProposalWriter to lead high-quality proposals for government and commercial customers. You will translate complex technical concepts into clear, compliant narratives and collaborate with engineering, product, and strategy teams to deliver compelling submissions.

The role is full-time and can be onsite in El Segundo, CA or remote. A strong background in aerospace contracting and clearability for US government programs is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Writing, Engineering, Business, Communications, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in proposal writing, technical writing, or government contracting in aerospace, defense, or related industries.
• Strong understanding of government procurement processes (FAR, SBIR/STTR, OTA).
• Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise content.
• Exceptional writing, editing, organizational, and project management skills.
• Experience with proposal tools and templates (color reviews, compliance matrices).
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup with evolving priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end proposal development from opportunity analysis to final submission for DoD, NASA, and commercial customers.
• Craft persuasive, technically accurate content communicating our mission and capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and strategy teams to translate inputs into polished narratives.
• Ensure full compliance with RFP/RFI/BAA requirements and submission protocols.
• Manage proposal timelines and workflows including content collection and reviews.
• Develop reusable proposal assets such as boilerplate text and capability statements.
