Job summary

Parker Hannifin Corporation's Parker Aerospace division in Irvine, CA is seeking a Project Engineer for the Services & Support Operations Division. You will lead engineering projects, manage scope, cost, and schedule, and coordinate with customers and internal teams.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 7–9 years of related experience, strong communication, and project-management skills; a PE, MS, or MBA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering or science; MS/MBA preferred.
• 7-9 years of related experience.
• Thorough knowledge of engineering domain principles, product standards, and regulations.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; able to interact with customers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Develops project objectives and ensures schedule, cost, and technical expectations are met.
• Creates project plans and milestones from design requirements and allocates resources.
• Maintains customer interface to present project status and manage changes.
• Controls project plan and costs; reviews quotes and manages expenditures; may act as Control Account Manager for projects using EVMS.
• Prepares technical work products (schematics, layouts, test plans) and monitors IP and regulatory concerns.
• Maintains engineering standards and documentation; manages project files and archiving.
• Keeps knowledge current via workshops, publications, and professional associations.
• Mentors engineers and may serve as a functional specialist.
• Develops engineering estimates with Program Management and OEM Engineering.
