Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Project Engineer I to join the Hot Section Engineering (HSE) team in East Hartford. The role focuses on part-level ownership, planning, and execution to support the Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) life cycle, from validation testing to engineering changes and field support.

You will begin your career through the Engineering Development Program (EDP) with three rotations in different technical disciplines, building breadth and depth for future contributions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering obtained by start date.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: product design, drawing definition/interpretation, material selection, thermal & structural analysis, manufacturing processes.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
• Minimum Cumulative 3.0 GPA

Responsibilities

• Provide project management to the Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) that includes design, structural, durability, aero, materials, and manufacturing engineers for both Sustainment and CIP funded activities.
• Track project progress and communicate status and forecasts related to schedule, budget, and technical requirements to the IPT/CIPT.
• Support hardware and validation related activities for the IPTs, including working with support organization on the execution of hardware delivery and appropriate planning / execution of any required validation / testing activities.
• Travel 10%

Education
