Job summary

HEICO Aerospace is seeking a Project Engineer to develop electro-mechanical components at our Highland Heights facility. You will reverse engineer existing aircraft components and develop enhanced replacements while using test equipment and SolidWorks to validate designs.

Responsibilities include circuit/PCB design, supplier liaison, FAA design substantiation, and project status tracking. Travel 5–15% to airline facilities and FAA offices may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence required.
• Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with aerospace standards is highly desired.
• Experience in electrical/mechanical design for aerospace components.
• 4+ years of aerospace design or project experience preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of product development for assigned components.
• Reverse engineer existing aircraft components and develop replacements.
• Use test equipment and analyze components during design and verification.
• Review and revise 3-D models and 2-D drawings in SolidWorks.
• Design circuits and PCBs for end products and test equipment.
• Coordinate FAA design substantiation and related reviews.
• Forecast and track project status for management review.
• Provide technical support to customers, suppliers and internal staff.
