Job summary

RTX in Chula Vista, CA is seeking a Project Engineer for the Aerostructures Military Portfolio Program Technical Office to lead configuration management, engineering definition, sustaining support, and cross‑functional coordination.

You will manage CCBs, review changes, coordinate with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Aftermarket, Data Management and external partners, and support proposal development and legacy records research.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years experience or an advanced degree with 5+ years experience.
• Understanding of Development Engineering, Project Engineering and Configuration Management processes.
• Front-facing customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage configuration and change activity for assigned platforms and programs.
• Prepare for and follow up on Configuration Control Board (CCB) items and coordinate engineering actions.
• Review engineering changes for applicability and downstream impact and ensure proper documentation.
