Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Project Engineer / AI&T Technical Lead to support the development, build, integration, test, and flight support of a Suit Mass Simulator for Launch Environment Characterization Testing on the HLS lander. You will lead cross-disciplinary teams and ensure readiness for flight-like hardware in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5–10 years related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physical science, or related discipline.
• Experience with NASA, aerospace, defense, or complex flight-like hardware development.
• Experience with hardware assembly, integration, test planning, test execution, and anomaly resolution.
• Understanding of flight hardware build discipline, configuration control, quality processes, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Assembly, Integration, and Test effort for the Suit Mass Simulator.
• Coordinate assembly of components, subcomponents, and subsystems for integration.
• Lead integration with vehicle interfaces including C&DH, structures, power, interfaces.
• Develop and maintain AI&T plans, build/test flows, schedules, risk lists, readiness criteria.
• Coordinate across engineering disciplines and manage complex hardware/software interfaces.
• Support hardware test plans, procedures, verification, and system tests.
• Ensure activities meet NASA-JSC flight hardware standards and quality processes.
• Support readiness reviews, test readiness reviews, and technical milestones.
• Track and resolve issues, discrepancies, and test anomalies.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure requirements, interfaces, and data collection are understood.
• Develop operational products for flight test execution and post-test data review.
