Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced avionics engineer in Huntsville to provide engineering insight and leadership for the development, integration, and testing of an advanced engine controller for future spacecraft. The role requires expertise in avionics architecture, engine control systems, sensors, interfaces, and power distribution.

Responsibilities include leading instrumentation, harness and ignition systems integration, developing controller requirements, and supporting anomaly resolution

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field with 20+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of engine controller hardware and testing.
• US Citizenship with STAR ID is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering insight and leadership for development, integration and test for an advanced engine controller for future spacecraft.
• Define sensors, interfaces and control logic for engine valves and power distribution.
• Lead instrumentation, harness and ignition systems integration and engine controller development.
• Support anomaly resolution and standing meetings.
