Job summary

CFD Research Corporation in Huntsville, AL and Hollywood, AL seeks a Program Technical Lead to serve as Technical Authority for aerospace development programs. You will manage system architecture across mechanical, power/control electronics, and embedded software disciplines, interfacing with customers and IPT leads.

Responsibilities include final design authority, ICD ownership, IPT leadership, and overseeing V&V plans to ensure safety and compliance with AS9100.

Qualifications

• US Citizen and able to obtain Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field as listed in the posting.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in aerospace or aviation.
• Leadership, technical oversight, or multidisciplinary project lead experience.
• Strong written and verbal technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the program’s primary technical interface to the customer and defend the technical baseline.
• Hold final approval authority for engineering designs, changes, and verification results.
• Own Interface Control Documents (ICDs) to ensure interfaces across subsystems align.
• Provide IPT leadership and resolve technical disagreements between IPTs.
• Oversee V&V strategy and approve test plans to verify requirements.
• Lead investigations into technical failures and manage risk mitigation.
