Job summary

CFD Research Corporation is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to bridge design, supplier networks, and shop-floor execution on low-rate, flight-rated aerospace programs. This hybrid role drives TTP, ensures compliance with AS9100, and collaborates with external suppliers to resolve build challenges.

You will leverage MES and MRP systems to enhance material traceability and overall manufacturing performance at our Hollywood, AL site.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering or hardware operations.
• U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain/maintain security clearance.
• Working knowledge of MES and MRP/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Transition to Production (TTP): lead hardware transitions into low-rate production with assembly sequences, tooling, and build documentation.
• Manufacturing Systems: optimize MES/MRP utilization throughout design and TTP process.
• Supplier Technical Management: collaborate with suppliers on transfers, reviews, and bottleneck resolution.
• Shop-Floor Leadership: act as primary floor technical authority across design engineering, quality, supply chain, and technicians.
