Job summary

CFD Research Corporation seeks a CAD Design Engineer to join our team and support the design, development and integration of complex systems for our Hollywood, Alabama Engineering Test Center. This position is a high-collaboration role encompassing conceptual design, prototyping, and testing.

The ideal candidate will have experience designing and developing prototype hardware, SolidWorks CAD proficiency, and the ability to work with manufacturing and government stakeholders in an AS9100

Qualifications

• US citizen eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related STEM field
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience designing and developing prototype hardware
• SolidWorks or other CAD experience
• Designing for manufacturing (milling/turning)

Responsibilities

• Assist concept development, design, fabrication and prototyping of hardware
• Facilitate functionality between engineering and production/prototyping facilities
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including government customers, within an AS9100 environment
