Job summary

CUBRC in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Financial Analyst to support Aerosciences program budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls. This role collaborates closely with Program Managers and cross-functional teams to drive informed decision-making and successful program performance.

Responsibilities include developing budgets, monitoring burn rates, delivering leadership reports, and supporting proposal pricing and cost models. On-site work and strong Excel/Deltek Costpoint skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
• 3+ years in program finance, pricing or FP&A.
• Government contract knowledge preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with enterprise systems such as Deltek Costpoint preferred.
• On-site in Buffalo, NY with limited hybrid flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and manage program budgets, forecasts, and financial deliverables.
• Monitor program financial performance including burn rates and variances.
• Prepare and deliver financial reports for leadership and customers.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, regulations, and financial controls.
• Support proposal pricing and budgeting; build financial models.
• Review procurement requests and purchasing in line with policies.
• Collaborate with PMs, Contracts, Procurement, and Operations to guide decisions.
• Assist in annual budgets, long-range forecasts, and monthly reviews.
• Conduct variance analysis and identify risks and opportunities.
• Maintain accuracy of financial data in enterprise systems and drive process improvements.
