Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to develop and maintain program financial plans across multiple products and business areas.

The role sits within a team including Program Management, Finance, and Technical staff to ensure accurate budgeting, EACs, and cost reporting. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in aerospace/defense financial management, advanced Excel, and ERP/SCM/CRM systems, with the ability to lead analyses and collaborate across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in costing and pricing of complex development programs.
• Working knowledge of ERP, SCM, and CRM software/applications.
• Advanced MS Excel required.
• Cradle to Grave financial management experience.
• Experience in Aerospace and Defense environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain program financial plans including budgets and EACs to meet contractual requirements.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and government procurement regulations.
• Analyze cost performance against plans to ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Prepare project control/financial reports for distribution to customer/user organization.
• Develop complex cost and pricing models.
• Support proposal cost estimates, DCAA audits, and contract negotiations as needed.
• Administer complex financial analysis (variance, risk, profit/loss).
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and identify trends with actionable recommendations.
• Liaise between program office, operations, and other support organizations on financial issues.
• Interface with subcontracts and customers and conduct investigations as required.
• Identify and drive process improvements including reports, tools, and presentations.
• Work on complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variables; may serve as Team Lead.
