Job summary

Belcan is seeking an experienced Production Scheduler for its Bethel, CT facility that manufactures precision pressure sensors for aerospace, defense, and space applications. The role will represent the site within the broader production network and focus on executing planned production volumes against the Master Production Schedule.

You will collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Supply Chain to optimize flow, manage capacity, and ensure on-time

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in supply chain, production, manufacturing, or operations.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and align production activities with the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
• Re-sequence and re-route production orders to minimize deviations from the MPS.
• Escalate execution issues to Network Schedulers when timely resolution is needed.
• Manage shop-floor scheduling and level-load work orders based on cell capacity.
• Monitor work orders to ensure resources have available work.
• Direct daily WIP workflow through production reports and cross‑functional input.
• Prioritize resources to maximize efficiency and on-time delivery.
• Expedite customer orders and coordinate material shortages with Buyers.
• Communicate production and delivery updates to Customer Service.
• Ensure work orders are current and not past due or held in pick status.
• Support improvements to reduce past‑due sales and address quality issues.
• Drive improvements in on‑time delivery performance.
