Our client’s Aerospace Group is seeking an experienced Production Scheduler to join its manufacturing facility in Bethel, Connecticut. The facility manufactures pressure sensors for a wide range of commercial, military, and space applications.
The Production Scheduler will represent the manufacturing facility within the broader production network and will be responsible for supporting the execution of planned production volumes and schedules. This role will focus on managing the short-term frozen production horizon while collaborating closely with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams.
The successful candidate will help optimize production flow, manage capacity constraints, support customer on-time delivery, and resolve scheduling and material issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to and align production activities with the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
- Re-sequence and re-route production orders when capacity constraints arise to minimize deviations from the MPS.
- Escalate execution issues to Network Schedulers when resolution timelines may impact MPS adherence.
- Manage shop-floor scheduling and level-load work orders based on available cell capacity.
- Monitor work orders to ensure manufacturing resources consistently have available work.
- Direct daily WIP (Work in Process) workflow through analysis of production reports and input from cross-functional teams.
- Prioritize resources and shared resources across the factory to maximize efficiency, material flow, and customer on-time delivery.
- Expedite customer orders where possible and coordinate material shortages with Buyers.
- Communicate production and delivery updates to Customer Service.
- Ensure work orders remain current and are not past due or held in pick status for extended periods.
- Support efforts to reduce past‑due sales dollars and resolve quality‑related issues affecting production.
- Drive improvements in customer on‑time delivery performance.
- Support High-Performance Work Teams and adapt effectively to different work environments.
- Prepare reports and other documentation for Supply Chain Management professionals.

Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Supply Chain, Production, Manufacturing, or Operations.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
- Experience with MFG Pro is a plus.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience with complex machined materials management.
- Strong understanding of production planning and scheduling processes.
- Ability to analyze data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement solutions.
- Ability to take initiative and deliver measurable results in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
