Job summary

HBD Industries, Inc. is seeking a Production Planner in El Cajon, CA to coordinate and optimize production plans for aerospace components.

You will translate customer demand and engineering requirements into executable schedules while ensuring quality standards, capacity alignment, and inventory targets. The role requires ERP/MRP expertise and collaboration across manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years ERP experience in manufacturing; minimum 2 years with D365.
• Strong ERP/MRP principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills at all levels.
• Lean methods knowledge: 5S/6S, cellular layouts, single piece flow.
• Detail-oriented, quick learner in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Teamwork and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate production activities for on-time delivery of aerospace components.
• Develop and maintain production plans and schedules.
• Analyze demand forecasts, customer schedules, and capacity to balance workload.
• Maintain ERP/MRP data, lead times, routings, and BOMs.
• Create, review, and release work orders in ERP/MRP system.
• Interface with manufacturing, engineering, quality, purchasing, and management.
