Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Holt, MI is seeking a qualified technician to work on composite materials and aircraft components. The role involves disassembly/assembly, fabrication, and finishing to tight tolerances, with potential third shift; strong teamwork and communication are essential.

This FAA-regulated facility emphasizes safety and integrity, with role types reflecting onsite work. Candidates will undergo FAA-related pre-employment testing and ongoing compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing environment or body work and painting preferred.
• A&P certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cutting, sizing, and measuring state of the art composite materials in accordance with process sheet instructions.
• Disassembly and assembly of aircraft components.
• Manipulating state of the art materials by stretching and heating to secure material to form molds.
• Performing composite and metal fabrication as well as finishing work within extremely tight tolerances to achieve required quality requirements.
• Be a self-starter and possess integrity and professionalism at all times.
• Demonstrate excellence working in a team environment and have proven ability and willingness to learn new tasks as required.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Have basic computer skills.
• Be able to work any shift, including first, second, and the potential for third shift, as required by business need.
• 3rd Shift Hours are 10pm-6am.
