Job summary

Astronics PECO in Clackamas, Oregon, seeks an experienced Production Manager to lead and develop the production team, drive efficiency, and uphold quality standards in a high‑stakes manufacturing environment.

You will monitor KPIs, manage resources, implement Lean practices, and collaborate with engineering and operations to meet safety, cost, and delivery targets while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering preferred.
• Five years of related experience or equivalent.
• Experience managing unionized workforces preferred.
• Proven ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Strong communication and analytical skills required.
• Familiarity with MS Office and manufacturing software.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop production teams and supervisors.
• Track KPIs on efficiency, quality, and cost; report to management.
• Oversee daily manufacturing operations to meet targets.
• Allocate resources including personnel and equipment.
• Ensure quality standards, reduce defects and waste.
• Improve processes using Lean and other best practices.
• Develop annual operating budgets for departments.
• Ensure safety training and health regulations compliance.
• Travel to meet customers/sites as needed.
