Job summary

Consolidated Precision Products Corp. (CPP) in Euclid, OH, is seeking a Product Engineer to support die and tooling development for investment casting and to drive continuous improvement in aerospace components.

You’ll learn best-practice casting methods, work hands-on to solve quality and yield challenges, and grow technical skills in a highly technical manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, document procedures, and support advancement

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DS/SX casting process and shell parameters.
• Knowledge of statistics and data analysis techniques.
• Working knowledge of GD&T and interpreting customer specs.
• Ability to interpret customer drawings and models; write internal specs.

Responsibilities

• Support the construction of dies, gages and tooling for ceramic cores, wax patterns and castings.
• Identify and improve process yields using data analysis and DOE/6 Sigma methods.
• Interface with tooling vendors and CPP Purchasing to obtain quality tools at competitive prices.
• Control the dimensional quality of castings to meet customer expectations.
• Develop internal job instructions and document procedures.
• Identify, evaluate and implement new process technologies to improve manufacturing capabilities.
• Publish reports on research and tests using data-based decisions.
• Routinely audit production lots for repeatability of results.
