Job summary

Stoke Space is seeking a Product Designer to evolve Boltline, our flagship software platform, aligning interfaces with complex hardware development. You’ll collaborate within a small design team to craft intuitive tools that enable traceability and efficient manufacturing for a world-leading reusable rocket program.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating strong UI/interaction design for complex/technical products
• Proficient in Figma; ability to build scalable systems and prototypes
• 4+ years of hands-on product design experience, with end-to-end ownership
• Experience running user tests and turning insights into design decisions
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality work in fast-moving environments
• Clear communicator; collaborative with engineering, product, and partners
• Experience in a small, highly collaborative design team
• Strong stakeholder communication to keep everyone aligned
• Self-directed and curious, capable of digging into technical details

Responsibilities

• Partner with PMs, engineers, testers and end users to refine requirements and design Boltline features
• Collaborate with a small team of senior designers to create a unified, consistent user experience and shared product vision
• Take end-to-end ownership of features, from problem framing through shipped implementation
• Break down ambiguous product problems into concrete, scoped design work for engineering
• Surface trade-offs and roadblocks early, and make defensible calls on scope and sequencing under schedule pressure
• Move quickly from ideas to polished designs in Figma with fast feedback loops
• Validate designs through early release feedback, usability studies, and user interviews
• Help shape and expand our early-stage design system as the product grows
