Job summary

Stoke Space is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Software Development Engineer in Kent, WA. You will design, build, and maintain scalable features across front-end and back-end, collaborating with design, product, and hardware teams to drive innovation in aerospace manufacturing software.

You will own significant parts of the Boltline platform, contribute to architecture, and help maintain a robust CI/CD and testing culture, while mentoring junior engineers in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Deep expertise in full stack TypeScript with React, GraphQL, and Postgres.
• Experience designing backend services (Node.js/Next.js).
• Strong testing principles and modern testing frameworks.
• Proven ability to own features end-to-end and participate in on-call.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop end-to-end features across the full stack using React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and Postgres.
• Architect and optimize backend data models, APIs, and services for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Build and refine user interfaces that simplify complex hardware workflows.
• Maintain CI pipeline and independently support an on-call shift.
• Implement automated testing culture with unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Lead technical design discussions and architectural decisions for the Boltline platform.
• Collaborate with product and hardware teams to translate needs into scalable software solutions.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, observability, and on-call reliability.
• Mentor mid- to internship-level engineers through code reviews and pairing.
