Job summary

Inversion is seeking a Procurement II to build a compliant aerospace supply chain and manage the Approved Supplier List. You will own end-to-end sourcing for high-reliability aerospace hardware, audit suppliers for quality, and drive agile partnerships to meet aggressive development schedules.

You will coordinate with engineering teams, manage purchasing and planning for engineering materials, parts, and equipment, and translate complex technical requirements into actionable procurement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, supply chain, or a related field.
• Proven experience in aerospace procurement, government contracting, and supplier audits.
• Experience owning end-to-end purchasing and material-planning execution for engineering materials and hardware.
• Strong documentation accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Qualify, quote, audit and manage suppliers, specialized machine shops, and special-process vendors (heat treatment, plating, NDT, etc.).
• Enforce strict supply chain documentation compliance including Certificates of Conformance, Material Test reports, First Article Inspections, etc.
• Track supply delivery and quality metrics, and drive root-causes for vendor escapes.
• Prepare and execute procurement negotiations, expedite long-lead hardware and implement dual-sourcing strategies to prevent single-point failures.
• Serve as primary liaison between internal engineering requirements and vendor capabilities.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, lead-time reductions, and supplier consolidation.
• Support inventory planning to maintain stocking levels while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
