Job summary

Consolidated Precision Products Corp. Eastlake is seeking a Process Engineer to help develop and improve manufacturing and metallurgical processes that support growth in aerospace and industrial investment casting markets.

You will optimize the DS/SX casting process from gate design through shelling parameters, while developing best-practice procedures, resolving issues to boost yield and product quality, and leading cross-functional problem-solving as needed.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of solidification modeling and DS/SX starter design.
• Ability to interpret customer drawings and navigate CAD models.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop metallurgical casting processes from gate design to casting parameters.
• Identify and resolve process and quality issues to improve yield.
• Lead cross-functional problem-solving efforts and DOE initiatives.
• Publish reports on research and complete tests using data-based decisions.
• Document procedures and ensure repeatability of results.
• Audit production lots for adherence to techniques and quality standards.
• Evaluate and implement new process technologies to extend capabilities.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet organizational objectives.
