Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer in Manchester, CT to support development, optimization, and continuous improvement of aerospace manufacturing processes. You will work with Engineering, Quality, Program Management, and Supply Chain to drive efficient, high-quality production across the full lifecycle.

The role emphasizes production readiness, process validation, and cost optimization while ensuring compliance with customer specs and standards.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or related manufacturing functions.
• Knowledge of manufacturing process development, process optimization, and production support activities.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, models, and GD&T requirements.
• Experience creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation, including BOMs, routings, operation sheets, and work instructions.
• Experience troubleshooting manufacturing and production-related issues.
• Familiarity with process improvement, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for aerospace components throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
• Create and maintain BOMs, routings, operation sheets, manufacturing instructions, and process documentation.
• Support production operations by troubleshooting manufacturing issues and implementing process improvements.
• Develop rework and repair solutions that support product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Program Management, Supply Chain, customers, and suppliers to support manufacturing objectives.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and models to establish effective manufacturing methods.
