Triumph seeks a Plant Quality Engineer for our Macomb, MI facility to lead efforts in ensuring high-quality products and processes. The role requires collaboration with operations, engineering, and manufacturing to prevent defects and improve yield.

The ideal candidate has a STEM degree, 3+ years in aerospace quality, AS9100 experience, and strong communication. Proficiency with MS Office and ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM).
• 3+ years of aerospace manufacturing quality experience.
• AS9100 experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience reading machined drawings.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high quality products.
• Analyze problems and derive effective solutions.
• Communicate issues and corrective actions to stakeholders.
• Lead nonconformance investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Review customer drawings and specifications and ensure requirement flow downs.
• Monitor and report monthly quality performance metrics.
• Conduct internal audits and prepare quality documentation.
• Support development of process capability and control plans.
• Participate in program and quality assurance reviews.
• Identify opportunities to reduce defects and waste.
