Job summary

Astronics Corporation in East Aurora, NY is seeking a PCB Repair Technician to join our production team. You will identify and repair defective PCBs, minimize downtime, and ensure on-time shipments while driving toward zero defects.

Responsibilities include soldering, inspection, functional testing, troubleshooting, and collaborating with engineers on manufacturability improvements. Must follow IPC standards and ESD practices; ITAR applies and U.S. Person status may be required.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or military electronics training is highly desired but not required.
• Proven PCB assembly, testing and repair experience in manufacturing or prototyping environments.
• Experience with ESD practices and Part 145 repair program is a plus.
• Attention to detail and ability to deliver flawless work.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, solder, and rework through-hole and surface-mount components on PCBs using standard tools.
• Perform visual inspections under magnification to identify defects.
• Conduct functional and continuity testing with oscilloscopes and DMMs.
• Troubleshoot and repair boards by replacing components and correcting wiring.
• Maintain accurate records of tests, repairs, and component usage.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve manufacturability and processes.
