Job summary

Astronics Corporation is seeking an experienced PCB Designer/Engineer in East Aurora, NY. You’ll design complex high-reliability PCBs, mentor junior staff, and collaborate across electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability.

You will own fabrication documentation, maintain libraries, and support DFMA initiatives while working in a flexible hybrid/remote setup. A strong background in aerospace/electronics is required and relocation is not specified.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on PCB layout experience in aerospace/defense/automotive or complex electronics.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology or Computer Engineering preferred; associate degree plus 5 years considered.

Responsibilities

• Design complex, multi-layer PCB layouts including rigid, flex, and rigid-flex.
• Enforce impedance control, differential routing, propagation delay, EMI/EMC mitigation for signal integrity.
• Develop documentation packages (Gerbers, ODB++, 2D/3D drawings, BOMs) and manage libraries per IPC standards.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to drive DFM and DFA.
• Provide design support for fabrication and act as technical point of contact for suppliers.
• Support product development and test equipment layouts and designs.
• Guide junior designers and establish best practices.
