Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a PCB Designer (Starmind) to design layouts for in-house boards. You will partner with Hardware Development Engineers on schematics, iterating designs from reviews and contributing to mixed-technology boards from RF to solar power converters.

Required is a Bachelor's in electrical engineering with 1+ years PCB layout experience, or 3+ years without a degree. Proficiency with Mentor Xpedition or Altium Designer is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required and 1+ years of PCB layout experience, or 3+ years of PCB layout experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with mixed analog/digital designs, high speed buses, and power traces is preferred.
• Experience with design for manufacturability, assembly, and test.

Responsibilities

• Determine layer stackup and routing for digital, analog, RF, and power conversion on PCBs.
• Library creation and maintenance; collaborate with vendors to improve design rules.
• Create and release fabrication documentation for PCBs.
• Train team members on PCB design tools and processes.
• Work with hardware engineers to iterate designs from schematics.
