Job summary

STARMIND is seeking a PCB Designer to create layouts for in-house boards, collaborating with Hardware Development Engineers on schematics and reviews to iterate designs for optimal performance. You will contribute across diverse design mixes, from radio phased arrays to solar power converters, helping advance Starlink hardware initiatives.

The role requires strong knowledge of PCB layout, RF components, mixed-signal design, and DFM principles, with hands-on experience in Mentor Xpedition or

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 1+ years of PCB layout experience, or 3+ years of PCB layout experience in lieu of a degree (internships and club/project work apply).
• Experience with RF, high-pin-density design is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Determine layer stackup, component placement, routing feasibility, and signal routing for digital, analog, RF, and power conversion on PCBs.
• Library creation and maintenance.
• Create and release fabrication documentation for PCBs.
• Collaborate with internal teams and PCB vendors to improve design rules and test/manufacture guidelines.
• Utilize PCB design tools and train team members to use them.
