Job summary

SpaceX seeks a PCB Designer to create layouts for in-house boards, collaborating with Hardware Development Engineers during schematics reviews and iterating designs to deliver high-performance boards for RF, solar, and other power applications. You will influence layer stackups, component placement, and testability across Starlink and related systems.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 1+ years of PCB layout experience (or 3+ years without degree), plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 1+ years of professional experience with PCB layout OR 3+ years of professional experience with PCB layout in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Determine layer stackup, component placement, routing feasibility studies, and signal routing of digital, analog, RF, and power conversion of PCBs.
• Library creation and maintenance.
• Create and release documentation for fabrication of PCBs.
• Collaborate with internal teams and PCB vendors to improve design rules, constraints and DFM guidelines.
• Utilize PCB design tools, maintain and evaluate new tools, and train team members to use tools.
