Job summary

Venus Aerospace is seeking an experienced paralegal to provide high-level legal and administrative support to the General Counsel and the broader Legal function. This fully remote role requires strong organizational skills and familiarity with defense and aerospace government-contracting requirements.

The successful candidate will draft, review, and manage contracts, governance artifacts, and regulatory filings while coordinating with outside counsel and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Active paralegal certification or degree (ABA-approved or equivalent).
• 8–10+ years paralegal experience in relevant settings (law firm, corporate, or government).
• Experience in defense/aerospace/government contracting environments.
• Understanding of FAR/DFARS and procurement workflows.

Responsibilities

• Support contract drafting, review, redlining, and lifecycle management with deadlines and approvals.
• Assist with corporate governance artifacts, including board consents and filings.
• Coordinate government and commercial agreements and maintain documentation repositories.
• Conduct legal research on government procurement requirements and compliance obligations.
• Prepare materials for audits, inquiries, and compliance reviews (CUI, cybersecurity, export controls).
• Develop internal processes, templates, and policy frameworks.
• Assist GC with due diligence, financing activities, and board documentation.
• Coordinate with outside counsel (litigation, IP, corporate, regulatory).
• Prepare presentations, reports, and summaries for executive leadership.
