Job summary

Venus Aerospace is seeking a highly experienced paralegal to provide high-level legal support to the General Counsel and Legal team. The role requires extensive experience in defense/aerospace and familiarity with government contracting, FAR/DFARS, and regulatory obligations.

This position is fully remote, with ITAR considerations and compliance requirements. You will manage contracts, corporate governance, documentation, and coordination with outside counsel while supporting audits and

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm, corporate legal dept, or government setting.
• Active paralegal certification or degree (ABA-approved or equivalent).
• Experience supporting legal work in defense, aerospace, government, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of FAR/DFARS, procurement workflows, and compliance obligations.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Attention to detail, sound judgment, and strong writing/communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support contract drafting, review, redlining, and lifecycle management with deadlines and approvals.
• Assist with governance artifacts: board consents, resolutions, subsidiary records, filings.
• Coordinate government and commercial agreements and maintain documentation repositories.
• Conduct legal research on procurement requirements, regulatory updates, and compliance.
• Prepare materials for audits, inquiries, and compliance reviews (CUI, cybersecurity, export controls).
• Help develop internal processes, templates, and policy frameworks.
• Assist GC with due diligence, financing activities, and board documentation.
• Coordinate with outside counsel: litigation, IP, corporate, regulatory matters.
• Prepare presentations and summaries for executive leadership.
