Exegistics seeks a Painter Prep Technician I to prepare aircraft components for painting in a growing aerospace environment. This 3rd-shift role emphasizes precise, hands-on work, strict safety practices, and adherence to work instructions and quality standards.

Responsibilities include cleaning, sanding, masking, and using spray equipment; maintaining accurate ERP documentation; tracking materials; and collaborating with teammates to meet production goals while keeping a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing, painting, automotive body work, aviation, or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and hand skills.
  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions and work procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime and flexible schedules when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning, sanding, masking, and preparing aircraft components for paint application.
  • Following work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures.
  • Using tools and equipment such as sanders, paint sprayers, and related shop equipment.
  • Handling sealants, paint strippers, and corrosion-prevention materials safely and effectively.
  • Completing required paperwork and documentation accurately.
  • Tracking labor and materials using the company ERP system.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Inspecting work to ensure it meets customer and quality requirements.
  • Working independently and as part of a team to meet production goals.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
