Qualifications

• Previous experience in a paint shop, body shop, automotive, aircraft, manufacturing, or other hands-on environment is preferred.
• Willingness and ability to learn professional painting and finishing techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to take direction.
• Comfortable working with hand tools and performing hands-on tasks.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently when assigned tasks and contribute effectively as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Good organizational skills and ability to maintain a clean work environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist painters and technicians with preparation of aircraft and components for painting
• Perform sanding, scuffing, cleaning, and surface preparation as directed
• Assist with masking aircraft and components to prepare surfaces for paint
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas
• Assist with moving and positioning materials, equipment, and aircraft components
• Help prepare paint materials and supplies under the direction of experienced painters
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of required PPE
• Dispose of waste and materials in accordance with company and safety requirements
• Maintain required documentation and follow work instructions
• Support painters with general shop tasks as needed
• Learn and develop skills related to aircraft preparation, painting, finishing, and repair
• Work effectively as part of a team while maintaining quality and productivity standards
• Support occasional overtime to meet project deadlines
