Exegistics seeks a Painter Prep Technician I to prepare aircraft components for painting in a growing aerospace environment. This 3rd-shift role emphasizes precise, hands-on work, strict safety practices, and adherence to work instructions and quality standards.

Responsibilities include cleaning, sanding, masking, and using spray equipment; maintaining accurate ERP documentation; tracking materials; and collaborating with teammates to meet production goals while keeping a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing, painting, automotive body work, aviation, or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and hand skills.
  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions and work procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime and flexible schedules when needed.

  • Tracking labor and materials using the company ERP system.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Inspecting work to ensure it meets customer and quality requirements.
  • Working independently and as part of a team to meet production goals.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Are you someone who takes pride in detailed, hands‑on work? We're looking for a Painter Prep Technician I to help prepare aviation components for painting and finishing. This is a great opportunity for individuals with manufacturing, automotive, aviation, or industrial painting experience who enjoy working in a fast‑paced, quality‑focused environment.

What You'll Do
  • Cleaning, sanding, masking, and preparing aircraft components for paint application
  • Following work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures
  • Using tools and equipment such as sanders, paint sprayers, and related shop equipment

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications

  • Familiarity with paint mixing systems and paint‑thinning processes
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to work around paints, solvents, and industrial chemicals in a manufacturing environment
