Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL is seeking a hands‑on Operations leader to supervise technicians in mission and test environments. You will plan shifts, assign work, and ensure compliance with procedures while supporting integration and testing of flight and ground systems.

You will coach team members, promote safety culture, and drive continuous improvements in quality and efficiency. Relocation is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year frontline leadership directing technicians or operators.
• Ability to read and follow technical documentation (procedures, drawings, schematics).
• Experience with complex or hazardous systems (cryogenic, high‑voltage, propellants).
• Proficiency with digital tools (email, spreadsheets) and ability to learn new tools quickly.

Responsibilities

• Lead technicians/operators in day‑to‑day mission, test, and operations with emphasis on safety, quality and schedule.
• Plan, assign, and monitor work (shift coverage, work center assignments, overtime).
• Ensure work is performed per procedures, drawings, and safety/quality requirements.
• Provide hands‑on technical support for integration, checkout, test, and operations of flight and ground systems.
• Coach, develop, and mentor team members; conduct performance check‑ins and reviews.
