Job summary

Superior Thread Rolling Co. in California is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the Thread Roll Department from quote through production and ensure on-time delivery in a $3-5M business segment.

You will oversee a team of about 20 employees and drive continuous improvement within a strict quality framework. You will manage production planning, tooling, and capacity while coordinating with customers and suppliers to optimize flow, reduce lead times, and maintain high quality and OTD

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of college; four-year degree preferred.
• Ten years of management experience, preferably in aerospace.
• Manufacturing or machine shop experience, preferably thread rolling/fastener industry.
• AS9100 knowledge and experience preferred.
• Destructive Metallographic Inspection knowledge and experience.
• Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office, Outlook, and MRP/ERP systems.
• Project management.
• Budget management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Thread Roll Department from Request for Quote through Production.
• Develop, audit, and improve processes to achieve efficiency, quality and on-time delivery.
• Manage department metrics and KPI goals.
• Schedule work centers and manage capacity, overtime, and staffing.
