• Department management: lead Thread Roll Department and drive employee performance.
• Employee relations, morale, and discipline.
• Maintain QMS procedures, work instructions and forms for current processes.
• Promote and participate in 6-S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Initiate internal customer/supplier meetings to improve communication and flow.
• Support planning, scheduling, and throughput to meet OTD goals.
• Coordinate customer visits and assist with quotes and sales opportunities.

Position Summary:

The Operations Manager will manage the Operations of the Thread Roll Department from Request for Quote through Production to be the Aerospace Supplier of Choice by upholding the values of the Superior Thread Rolling Vision Statement. Operations manager is in P/L responsibility of a $3-5M business segment including direct oversight of a team of 20 employees. As leader of the Thread Roll Department will be responsible for giving direction, feedback, and correction to employees to follow policies and procedures to achieve the goals of the company.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• DEPARTMENT MANAGEMENT:
  • Employee relations, morale, and discipline.
  • Employee training & development
  • Maintain QMS Procedures, Work Instructions and Forms to all current processes
  • Hold regular Thread Roll Department meetings
  • Promoting, maintaining, and developing 6-S and continuous improvement
  • Develop, train, audit, and improve processes to achieve and maintain efficiency, quality and OTD goals
  • Initiate internal customer/supplier meetings to improve communication and flow
  • Employee performance evaluations and improvement programs
  • Promote and support the company and management's decisions
  • Participate in various meetings and projects
• CUSTOMER SERVICE / INSIDE SALES:
  • Provide technical support to our customers and vendors
  • Provide technical support within the company
  • Promote company for new business opportunities
  • Promote great long-term relationships with our customers
  • Support customer service and sales order entry activities
  • Support Quote follow up activities
  • Coordinate customer visits
