Job summary

Hanwha Aerospace USA in Newington, CT is seeking a Director of Operations to ensure efficient production of machined components while maintaining compliance with aerospace standards. The role leads strategic planning, teams, and process optimization.

You will own the business unit's P&L, oversee budgets, capacity planning, and staffing to support business plans, and drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance through collaboration with Engineering and Manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Must hold a U.S. Person status to work with ITAR data.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering or related field required.
• 10 years of experience acceptable in lieu of degree.
• 5+ years of experience in operations management.

Responsibilities

• Full control of P&L for the business unit.
• Prepare and present budget plans with Sales and Finance.
• Capacity planning, capital investments, and staffing to support plans.
• Review monthly product costs and adjust to meet budgets.
• Monitor productivity and efficiency; coordinate with production and engineering teams.
• Maintain customer schedules and communication of work progress.
• Represent the company during customer visits and presentations.
