Job summary

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston, Inc. is seeking a Summer Intern - Operations Analyst to join our Support Operations Team in Kinston, NC. The program runs for 10-12 weeks and includes mentorship, hands-on problem solving, and exposure to our manufacturing facilities.

You will analyze cost drivers, benchmark processes, and contribute to a cost reduction initiative while gaining practical industry experience and building a professional network.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an applicable program at an accredited University.
• Ability to communicate in English both verbally and written.
• Proficiency in G-Suite and Microsoft applications.
• Authorized to Work in the US without current or future need for visa sponsorship.
• Willing to temporarily live in Kinston, NC during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Analyze historical expenditures to identify cost drivers and inefficiencies.
• Assess current management processes and benchmark processes in different facilities and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and propose a cost reduction strategy (e.g., optimized procurement, better allocation, waste reduction initiatives).
• Create a tracking system to monitor consumption and optimize stock levels.
• Deliver recommendations and implementation guidelines to ensure sustainability of the cost reduction strategy.
• Other duties as assigned.
