Job summary

Element Materials Technology is seeking a NDT (FPI and/or MPI) Level II Technician in Enfield, Connecticut. The role involves performing and interpreting non-destructive inspections on aerospace components, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.

Your responsibilities include setting up NDT equipment, preparing inspection reports, and training Level I technicians. Ideal candidates have a strong understanding of aerospace materials and at least 2–5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Certification as NDT Level II in one or more methods per ASNT or NAS 410 standards.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in aerospace NDT or special processing.
• Strong understanding of aerospace materials, processes, and defect mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Perform NDT inspections using methods such as Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI).
• Interpret inspection results and determine accept/reject criteria.
• Set up and calibrate NDT equipment.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports and logs.
• Ensure compliance with NADCAP and customer-specific requirements.
• Train and mentor Level I technicians.
