Job summary

Hytek Finishes Co. is seeking an Aerospace NDT Assistant for a full-time, onsite 2nd shift in Kent, WA. The role supports Level 1 and II NDT inspectors, handling ovens for stress bakes and vapor degreasing, and coordinating with NDT and plating departments. FAA/DOT drug testing applies to pre-employment and ongoing testing.

The position includes comprehensive benefits and a competitive starting pay range, with final compensation based on experience and internal equity.

Qualifications

• Must have a regular and dependable attendance record.
• Ability to read/write and communicate in English with other employees, customers, and auditors.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. An export license will be required to work in all areas of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with experienced Level I and II NDT Inspectors to complete work and prioritize tasks.
• Learn to follow shop traveler, technique card, customer Purchase Orders, and instructions from experienced NDT Inspectors.
• Learn general review of paperwork to ensure all previous operations were completed. Notify supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors.
• Learn to prepare parts prior to operations including mechanical or chemical cleaning.
• Learn to perform pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements.
• Learn to follow Quality Assurance requirements.
• Must follow safety precautions as trained.
• Other duties as assigned.
