Job summary

Hytek Finishes in Kent, WA is seeking an Aerospace NDT Assistant to support Level I and II inspectors, manage ovens for stress bakes and vapor degreasing, and coordinate bake times across departments. FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing applies.

This full-time, non-exempt role includes on-site work and comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities include assisting experienced inspectors, following technical orders, prepping parts, and adhering to QA and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a regular and dependable attendance record.
• Ability to Read/Write/Communicate in English with other employees, customers, and auditors.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Level I and II NDT Inspectors to complete work and prioritize tasks.
• Learn to follow shop traveler, technique card, customer Purchase Orders, and instructions from experienced NDT Inspectors.
• Learn general review of paperwork to ensure all previous operations were completed; notify supervisor and QA if errors.
• Learn to prepare parts prior to operations including mechanical or chemical cleaning.
• Learn to perform pre- and post-cleaning surface finish requirements.
• Learn to follow Quality Assurance requirements.
• Must follow safety precautions as trained.
• Other duties as assigned.
