Hytek Finishes is seeking an Aerospace NDT Inspector (Trainee) for the 2nd shift in Kent, WA. Trainees will become certified NDT Inspectors across Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, and Nital Etch with on‑the‑job training and FAA program participation.
The role starts as Inspector Trainee with on‑the‑job training and moves toward full certification after Level III approval; training on 1st shift may be provided. This is a full-time evening shift position in a manufacturing setting.

Location: Kent, WA – onsite
Type: Non-Exempt, Full-Time
Schedule: 2nd Shift (Monday – Friday, 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.), training on 1st Shift
Applicants must provide a copy of their NAS‑410 Level II Certificate(s) in Magnetic Particle and/or Liquid Penetrant, including all employer‑provided On‑The‑Job (OJT) hours upon submission of our qualification process.

$21.80 – $32.80 per hour. The pay range and total compensation package listed above is the expected pay offered for this position at the start of employment. Your pay will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, your relevant experience level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other employees. This is an Inspector trainee position in our Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) department. Employees in this position will become certified as an NDT Inspector. The individual in this role will be considered an Inspector Trainee until certified by the Level III NDT Responsible in each of the three disciplines of NDT Inspection performed at Hytek (Magnetic Particle, Liquid Fluorescent Penetrant, and Nital Etch) and are able to perform the work independently. On‑the‑job training, as well as study time, is granted to all Inspector Trainees. All NDT Inspectors are required to join the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program. NDT Inspectors perform operations in accordance with Military and OEM specifications.
FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program requires an initial pre‑employment drug test including a screen for THC, subject to quarterly Drug & BAT testing.
